To respond to the spirit of President Xi's important speech on April 13, serve the national strategic positioning of three districts and one center of Hainan Province, introduce first-class universities of related disciplines from abroad to jointly hold Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions (projects) in Hainan, and establish an international talent training base and an industry-university-research innovation service base to provide strong talent and intellectual support for Hainan's modern service industry, the Communication University of China(CUC) officially established the Hainan International College in 2020 to coordinate the CUC's Sino-foreign cooperative education in Hainan.
CUC is one of the first universities to settle in the Hainan Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone. In April 2022, the Coventry College, Communication University of China, was officially established with the approval of the Ministry of Education (approval certificate No. MOE46UKA02DNR20222213N). It is a sino-foreign cooperative education institution affiliated with Communication University of China. It starts its first enrollment in 2022.
